Ladies beach (154) is located in lee of the breakwater at the western corner of the bay. It is a 60 m long pocket of north facing sand, which traditionally was used by the ladies for bathing.

Swimming

This is a relatively safe beach under normal wave conditions. High swell will however produce a very heavy shorebreak. The safest swimming is always at the western surf club end, where waves are always smallest.

Surfing

Usually only a low shorebreak in the bay.

Fishing

The jetty and boundary rocks are the more popular spots to fish. The absence of a bar also allows deep water just off the beach.

General

This is a very accessible, well serviced little bay and beach. It is relatively safe, protected from westerly winds and very popular in summer.
