The main Ceduna beach (1281) begins at the base of Cape Thevenard and runs due north for 1.5 km to 10 m high bluffs. The beach is backed from south to north by the sailing club, a foreshore reserve, caravan park, town centre, as well as crossed by two boat ramps and the 400 m long jetty (Fig. 4.178). The low energy beach is fronted by 150 m wide sand flats and backed by low crumbing bluffs which also deposit rock debris on the sand.
