There are two beaches on the 1 km long granite Point Peter. On the northern protected side is a 400 m long strip of sand (1305) fronted by sandflats up to 800 m wide. It terminates in a dynamic spit of sand that represents movement of marine sand into Tourville Bay. On the exposed southern side of the point is a 150 m long pocket beach (1306) bordered by jagged granite headlands and backed by steep vegetated 20 m high bluffs. Waves average over 1.5 m and a strong rip always flows out against one of the headlands.
Beach Length: 0.15km
