Surrounding the tip of Rocky Point are three protected beaches. To the east is an east facing 200 m long narrow reflective beach (1317) backed by low bluffs, and broken by bedrock rocks and reefs. On the western side of the point are two reflective pockets of sand (beaches 1318 and 1319). They are 100 and 80 m long respectively and bordered and backed by 10 m high bluffs, with shallow reefs off each beach reducing waves to less than 1 m at the shore.
