Point Bell is has a metasedimentary basement, capped by calcarenite and clifftop dunes, which reach as maximum height of 50 m. There are no beaches along the 3 km rocky eastern foreshore of the point. On the more exposed western side are three small pocket beaches each backed and bordered by calcarenite capped bedrock. Beach 1321 is located on the western side of the 1.5 km long narrow tip of the point. It is a 600 m long southwest facing steep beach, often reflective, but exposed to higher waves during high seas. While it is backed by steep 40 m high bluffs, a sand dune ramp toward the western end provides access down to the beach.
