Beach F-12 is located 500 m north of the southern tip of the Island, and consists of an exposed 400 m long west facing boulder beach, covered by a 100 m long veneer of sand toward the northern end. The entire beach is fronted by a 200 m wide reef strewn surf zone, with a strong permanent rip in front of the sand section. This is the most hazardous beach on the Island. It is also the site of the Island’s best surfing wave, a heavy righthander know as Kitchenview.
