Middle Point is a low round limestone point, which protrudes 600 m and forms the boundary between Blanche and Umpherstone bays. It is capped by both active and deflated dunes. The eroding point is fronted by rock flats up to 200 m wide, with eroded limestone cobbles forming two steep narrow crenulate beaches on either side of the point (20, 21). Intertidal rocks flats front the beaches, with heavy surf on the outer rocks. Access is via 4WD tracks from both bays, with the tracks leading to the rear of both cobble beaches.
