Admella beach runs for 9.6 km west of Cape Banks to the calcarenite reefs of Number Two Rocks. The first section of beach (44) extends for 3 km to a subdued cuspate foreland in lee of reefs located 500 m off the beach. Additional reefs parallels the beach lower waves to about 1 m, which maintains continuous bar usually free of rips east of the drain, and with small ephemeral rips developing between the drain and the foreland. The small overflow drain from Lake Bonny crosses the centre of the beach, marked by the bordering rock training walls. The drain is usually closed only flowing following winter rains.
