Pebbly Beach (KI-165) is a relatively isolated pebble (boulder) and sand beach, located 3 km west of Snellings Beach, but surrounded by private farm land. The 130 m long, north facing beach lies at the mouth of a partially cleared, steep, V-shaped valley, with a farm track following the creek to the river mouth. The small beach blocks the creek and consists of a high tide cobble-boulder beach, with a narrow low tide bar and jagged rock reefs and platforms to either side.

Swimming

Snellings Beach is a popular summer beach for swimming and surfing. It is moderately safe under normal low waves, however strong rips develop when waves exceed 1 m, particularly along the central and western section of the beach.

Surfing

Usually a low beach break at Snellings.

Fishing

Both beaches have good holes off the rock platforms, with rip holes also along Snellings.

General

Snellings is highly visible and easily accessible and is a popular stopping spot for day-trippers and surfers.
