Point Boston is the southern tip of a 4.5 km long, up to 50 m high, 1 to 2 km wide granite ridge, that forms the boundary between Louth and Boston bays. Beaches 745 and 750 form an isthmus to connect the ridge to the mainland. Three narrow beaches are located along the base of the bedrock slopes. On the north side is north facing beach 746, a low energy curving beach with seagrass growing to the shore. It is backed by a low foredune in the west, with low bluffs backing and encroaching on the eastern half. Seagrass grows to within 30 m of the shore.
Beach Length: 0.4km
