Cape Lannes is fronted by a 200 m long sandy beach (128), bordered by the two sets of reefs, which extends up to 400 m off the cape. The beach receives waves averaging 1.5 m which maintain a 100 m wide bar, drained by a single reef controlled rip. The cape marks the northern boundary of Little Dip Conservation Park.
