In lee of Slade Point is a small 300 m wide bay containing two protected, south facing, reflective beaches (Fig. 4.163). Its neighbour is an 80 m strip of sand (1126) lying at the base of the cliffs, and accessible round the rocks from the main beach. Waves average less than 1 m in the bay and surge up the steep beach faces, as well as breaking on reefs off the beaches.
