The eight kilometres of irregular coast from Smooth Pool round to The Dreadnoughts consists of 50 to 60 m high calcarenite cliffs, sitting on a granite basement. In amongst the rock dominated indentations are several beaches with varying degrees of protection. The Westrall Way scenic drive follows the top of the cliffs from the pool around to The Dreadnoughts before returning to the main road. There are however no facilities on the coast. Immediately north of Smooth Pool is a 300 m wide 500 deep bay, containing a 280 m long high tide beach (1139) at its eastern extremity. The beach is fronted by a continuous bedrock platform, with wave breaking along the reefs either side of the bay.
Beach Length: 0.28km
