Back beach (72) is a 500 m long southeast facing beach, protected by Cape Martin, Penguin Island and offshore reefs. It receives waves averaging 0.5 m and has a steep beach fronted by a narrow continuous bar, usually free of rips. The main fishing boat ramp crosses the eastern end of the beach, with a large car park behind the dune.
