Wooley beach (79) while the longest beaches in this section at 1.2 km has calcarenite reefs scattered along and just off the beach. During normal wave conditions these maintain four strong permanent rips. The most protected section is the far northern end, below the car park, when the reef is attached to the rocks and provides a partly enclosed lagoon. None the less this is a hazardous beach.
