On the north side of the tombolo is the smaller northern beach (405) which is both protected by the prominent Island and northern headland, as well as shallows reefs linking the two. Consequently calm condition often prevail at the shore, and seagrass debris usually covers the beach. A car park is located at the northern end of the beach.
