Constance Bay lies immediately north of Point Margaret, and is an open northwest facing bay, protected in the south by the point, in the centre by small Ella Rock 800 m offshore, and by shallow reefs on much of the bay floor. As a consequence waves average less than 1 m. The 600 m long southern beach (428) has a steep reflective beach broken by some rocks and reefs, and backed by a narrow dune-draped bluff, while the 650 m long northern beach (429) is a continuous strip of sand fronted by a narrow bar, and backed by active dunes extending up to 600 m inland. Cleared farmland backs both the dune systems.
Beach Length: 0.65km
General Hazard Rating: 4/10
