The Eddystone Point beach (T 50) is located on the exposed southern side of the 29 m high granite point. It is 250 m long, bordered by the point to the east and a broken outcrop of rocks to the west. It faces due south exposing it to all southerly waves and winds. The winds have blown sand from the beach to blanket the point with now vegetated clifftop dunes. Waves average over 1 m and maintain a 50-100 m wide surf zone, with a permanent rip running out past the southern rocks. The Eddystone Road terminates 100 m north of the beach with a track down to the shore. read more
