Four Mile Creek drains into an open 2 km wide northeast-facing embayment containing beaches T 122 and 123 (Fig. 4.22). Four Mile Creek Beach (T 122) is a 1.6 km long east-northeast-facing beach bordered by a sloping granite-boulder-strewn point in the north and the usually blocked creek mouth and a low rocky point in the south. The beach receives waves averaging over 1 m which maintain a 50 m wide bar usually cut by several rips. It is backed by a low 50 m wide foredune, then a road which services a collection of houses behind the southern end of the beach. The old road bridge at the southern end of the settlement is for pedestrian use only. The Four Mile Creek Road circuits the rear of the beach, with a roadside car park providing access to the northern end of the beach. There are four surf breaks along the beach, a northern rock break called Cattle Grids, a left off the northern point, a bombie right off the southern point, and beach breaks along the beach.
