Gentle Annie Creek drains the extensive mangrove swamp on the south side of Lucinda. Between the creek mouth and Victoria Creek, 7 km to the south, is 8 km of beach, separated in the centre into Gentle Annie Beach and Taylors Beach by a small unnamed creek. Taylors Beach (831) lies on the northern side of Victoria Creek mouth and is protected from waves by the northern spit of Forrest Beach. Waves are usually absent, however there is deep water in the tidal channel off the beach and strong tidal currents. The beach is backed by the small settlement of Cassady, that contains a few houses, a caravan park and a store. At the beach is a foreshore reserve containing a car park, picnic and play areas, an amenities block and a boat ramp.
Beach Length: 3.8km
