Beach T 39 occupies the lee of a 500 m long section of scattered rocks that separates Cod from Purdon Bay. The reflective beach only has clear access to the water along its northern 100 m with the remainder dominated by the granite boulders. A scattered foredune backs the northern half, with heathland to the rear of the southern half of the beach. A small walkers’ hut is located in the dunes at the northern tip of the beach, 200 m east of the mouth of Bens Creek.
