Blue Rocks are a collection of rounded granite rocks and boulders that form the northern boundary of Long Point Beach. Beach FI 47 is located in amongst the rocks and trends 400 m to the northwest to the end of the rocks. It consists of patches of high tide sand fronted by scattered rocks and 300 m wide sand flats in the south, which narrow to 100 m in the north. It is backed by partly cleared farmland, with a few houses located on the backing slopes and the Palana Road running 300 m inland.
