Beach KI 61 is located in the northern corner of the bay and is a 100 m long south-facing pocket of sand, with rocks to either end as well as a few outcropping across and off the beach, including Gull Rock. It receives low refracted waves with a low gradient swash zone grading into a shallow bay floor (Fig. 4.201). It is backed by marram-covered older dunes.
