Bold Point is a 15 m high greywacke point surrounded by irregular rock platforms and backed by 93 m high Bold Head. Beach KI 25 is located between the point and the base of the head and consists of a curving, south-facing 150 m long strip of sand bordered by low rock platforms extending 50 m seaward with a central sandy low tide terrace. Waves average about 1 m with a permanent rip draining out between the rocks.
