Beach KI 32 extends west of the harbour facilities jetty for 1.5 km curving round past Grassy Creek to finally face east in lee of Sandblow Point. The beach receives refracted southwest swell, which averages over 1 m and increases in height towards the centre of the beach. In the centre the waves usually maintain a few rips, with a low tide terrace to either end of the beach. It is backed by climbing vegetated Holocene transgressive dunes that extend up to 1.5 km inland and to heights of 60 m and which are now occupied by the Grassy golf course. The beach is accessible at the eastern port area and at Grassy creek mouth.
Beach Length: 1.5km
General Hazard Rating: 5/10
