Naracoopa beach consists of two parts (KI 12 and 13) located either side of the jetty. Beach KI 12 extends from the Fraser River mouth east-southeast for 1.4 km to the jetty, which is located on a slightly protruding section of rocky shore. The beach consists of a steep narrow reflective high tide beach fronted by continuous 50-100 m wide rock flats, together with rocks outcropping on the beach and in the surf zone. It receives waves averaging up to 1 m, which break across the rock flats and reefs, with usually lower surging waves at the shore. The beach is backed by a narrow foreshore reserve then the road and the few houses of Naracoopa on the backing slopes, with Rankins and Bronzewing creeks draining the slopes and crossing the beach. Beach KI 13 continues east of the 200 m long jetty for 900 m to Fraser Bluff, which is composed of Cambrian greywacke and rises inland to 50 m. The beach is steep and reflective and fronted by continuous rock flats and reefs extending 100 m offshore. A vehicle track runs along the rear of the western half of the beach, with slopes rising behind to 50 m and a small creek draining across the centre of the beach.
