Beach KI 54 is located in a curving 500 m wide southwest-facing rocky bay on the southern side of Badger Box Creek mouth. The beach faces southwest and curves round for 350 m as a narrow high tide reflective beach, fronted by continuous 50 m wide rock flats and a rocky bay floor. Waves average over 1 m and break across the rocks and reefs before reaching the sandy shoreline. Vegetated Holocene transgressive dunes extend for 2.5 km northeast along the southern side of the creek.
