Beach KI 74 lies 2 km north of the creek at the mouth of the small Eel Creek, which drains though the backing 1 km wide dune field. The narrow high tide beach curves for 500 m between dune-draped rocky points, with inshore rock flats and reefs extending up to 700 m seaward, and the creek crossing towards the southern end of the beach. The beach is backed by dunes, which widen to 3.5 km to the northwest, and one patch of active dune sand on the north side of the creek mouth.
