Victoria Cove is located 2 km southwest of Cape Wickham and is the northernmost beach on the island. The 500 m wide northwest-facing cove is bordered by 16 m high Cape Farewell to the west and the rocky shore that trends northeast to Cape Wickham in the east. Beach KI 80 curves around the base of the bay for 200 m with the rocky points bordering either end (Fig. 4.202). It receives westerly waves refracted around the point, which average less than 1 m at the shore where they maintain a reflective to low tide terrace beach. It is backed by marram-covered early Holocene dunes that extend 3 km to the east across the base of the cape almost reaching the east coast. The beach can be accessed via a vehicle track from Cape Wickham lighthouse, located 500 m east of the cove.
