Grimes Creek is a small creek draining slopes rising to 80 m. It emerges from a steep, narrow V-shaped valley 500 m south of Shower Droplet Rock. Beach KI 17 occupies the creek mouth and is a 50 m long pocket of sand wedged in between rising rocky slopes. It faces east and receives waves averaging about 1 m, which maintain a small reflective to low tide terrace beach.
Skipworths Creek is located 1.7 km to the south. It is a small creek draining the backing cleared slopes that rise to 90 m and reaches the rocky shore at the northern end of beach KI 18, which extends for 250 m south of the creek mouth. The beach is a narrow reflective high tide beach fronted by irregular rock flats and reefs extending up to 150 m offshore. Cleared sloping farmland backs the beach.
