Between the Parker River and Point Franklin is 1 km of coast, with the backing slope dropping from the 80 m high Parker Hill to the low, dune covered rocks of Point Franklin. A vehicle track runs out to the point, however it is on private property and public access is restricted. The shoreline is dominated by rock platforms and reefs, with the three beaches tucked in between the base of the steep bluffs and the platforms. The three beaches face south-east and receive waves averaging 1 to 1.5 m. However, the waves break over the reefs and platform and the beaches are only awash at high tide.
