At Cape Otway the coast turns and runs north-west for 2.5 km to Point Flinders. The coast consists of 50 m high cliffs and rock platforms. Just before Point Flinders is a 100 m long, south facing beach, backed by a low foredune below 60 m high bluffs. It is fronted by a rock and reef dominated surf zone. The beach is only active at high tide, with the rocks exposed at low tide.
