Jamieson Creek runs out of a small gap in the steep slopes to cross under the Great Ocean Road 1.5 km south of the Mount Defiance Lookout. The road runs right along the back of the beach, with car parks on both sides of the bridge. The 500 m long beach lies at the base of the 300 m high, forested slopes, with the creek flowing across the southern end. There are numerous scattered rocks on the beach and in the surf. Permanent rips exist at each end of the beach and one to two shifting rips occur along the beach.
Beach Length: 0.5km
