Skenes Creek is the first ocean beach free of platforms and reefs since Lorne. The Great Ocean Road runs along the back of the beach and there are car parks to either side of the small bridge. A camping area is located behind the northern end of the beach. The creek flows through a small, narrow lagoon and crosses the centre of the beach. The beach faces south-east and receives waves averaging 1.5 m. These produce a moderately wide beach and surf zone, with strong permanent rips against the rock platforms at each end.
Beach Length: 0.2km
General Hazard Rating: 7/10
