Iron Prince Beach begins at Iron Prince Rocks and runs in a broad arc for 5.6 km south-west to the sandy foreland in lee of Gabo Island. A kilometre of active sand dunes back the beach. The beach receives waves averaging 1.6 m and usually has up to 18 rips, spaced every 300 m. Following high seas, the rips are often linked to form a continuous deep trough running the length of the beach. The beach can be reached on foot from Mallacoota Inlet (12 km walk) or by boat.
