Whites Beach is a small patch of sand lying on the north side of Cape Bridgewater and at the southern end of Descartes Bay. It is backed by 50 m high calcarenite bluffs. The beach can be reached by way of Amos Road, which ends on the bluffs past the southern end of the beach.
The beach faces west and is partially protected by the cape and extensive rock reefs. Waves average about 1 m and surge up a steep beach with no bar. There are reef-controlled rips off the beach and against the rocks at each end.
