Hermsley Beach is the name given to a series of near continuous ribbons of sand, below 5 km of crenulate, 20 to 40 m high bluffs. Much of the beach is backed by private land, with the best access via Hermsley Road. At this point the beach consists of a steep, narrow, shelly beach, backed by grassy slopes and fronted by 200 m wide sand flats. There are no facilities at the beach.

Swimming

A usually calm and relatively safe beach, which is better at mid to high tide when the sand flats are covered.

Best at high tide.

A relatively natural; but isolated and little used beach.
