East of Steele Trig, the coast trends east for 2 km to Grassy Point, then turns to the south-east for 2.8 km to Point George. Here it turns again, to the south-south-east, for 900 m down to Half Moon Bay. There are three beaches located between these points. The Esplanade and foreshore reserve back the beaches, and there is a camping area on the eroding beach front south of Point George.
The three beaches are all narrow and crenulate, with low (1 to 2 m high) backing bluffs, and 100 to 200 m wide sand flats. Seagrass grows on the deeper parts of the sand flats and washes up onto the beaches.
Beach Length: 0.9km
