Geelong Grammar School is located in the north-west corner of Corio Bay. Running parallel to Foreshore Road, which fronts the school, is a 1.5 km long south-east facing beach. The beach is located between the western entrance to Limeburners Bay and the large Shell Corio oil refinery. The beach has good access, with a car park, two boat ramps and a small jetty at the bay entrance. Waves are usually absent and the narrow beach slopes gently into the bay.
