Point King is a 20 m high, calcarenite bluff, south of which lie two narrow strips of sand, fronted by 50 to 100 m wide sand and reef flats. The two beaches share the water with several boat sheds and private jetties. The beaches are very protected and are usually calm, with the tidal flats covered at high tide, but exposed at low tide.
