Just past this bluff is 3.4 km long Flaxman Beach. This energetic beach has a few reefs in front of the car park, but for the most part it has a 300 m wide surf zone, with large, strong rips every 300 m. These alternate with a detached bar. The winds have blown the sand from the beach to form a series of grassy sand ramps that have attempted (but so far failed) to reach the top of the backing 40 to 50 m high bluffs.
Beach Length: 3.4km
