Massacre Hill Beach lies immediately to the west. It is a narrower beach, backed by steep bluffs, with access at low tide from the Bay of Martyrs Beach. Both beaches are fronted by extensive reefs, with a large sea stack just off the Bay Beach. Waves are reduced by the reefs to about 0.5 m and the beaches are usually steep, with little or no bar and no rips.
