Beach FI 41 commences at the southern tip of The Bluff which recurves round to the east into Double Corner. The beach initially trends west, then curves to the northwest for a total of 1.2 m, terminating at the small mouth of Pats River. The beach consists of a 20 m wide high tide moderate gradient sandy beach, fronted by 100 m wide tidal flats in the south that widen to 500 m off the river mouth where they are also covered with a veneer of sand from the river. A narrow coastal reserve backs the beach, then the densely vegetated Bluff dunes rising to 11 m, which are part of the largely cleared Bluff farm which extends north to the river.
