The Werribee Sewer Farm occupies a large area south and west of the Werribee River. The low coastal plain is cris-crossed by the farm paddocks, and is fronted by a low beach and wide, tidal sand flats. The whole area has restricted access and the only way to reach the beaches is by boat. The northern section extends south-west for 4.5 km from Werribee River mouth to a low point, from where the south section runs west for 5.1 km to the mouth of Little River. The entire section has a low, narrow beach and 300 to 500 m wide sand flats. The Werribee River has a deep channel, while Little River is just a small creek.
Not recommended, owing to the proximity of the sewer farm. The sand flats are covered at high tide and exposed at low tide.
Only at the river north, or along the beach at high tide.
Two very low energy, crenulate beaches, fronted by wide tidal flats and backed by even more extensive sewer paddocks.Read less
