On the southern side of Tree Point is a 500 m long section of rocky shore containing three small southeast-facing rock-bound beaches. The beaches are backed by the 30 m high headland, which contains the Minnie Waters-Pipers Hill settlement, with a 200 m wide reserve between the houses and the bluffs occupied by Melaleuca Park and at the blufftop Angophora Walk, which provides the best access to the beaches. The first beach (NSW 65) is a 50 m long pocket of cobble-boulder beach fronted by continuous rocks. The second beach (NSW 66) is a 150 m long sand beach with prominent rock platforms/headlands, and a central rock reef and permanent rips exiting at either end, then an outer bar. It is backed by grassy bluffs and a vehicle track. The third beach (NSW 67) is a curving 100 m long pocket of sand, gravel and cobbles, together with numerous rocks and reef in the inner surf.
