Lilli Pilli Beach (NSW 540) is located on the southern side of Lilli Pilli Head. It is a curving 200 m long east-facing sandy beach wedged between two 20 m high wooded headlands, with well-developed rock platforms extending around both headlands. It receives waves averaging 0.5 m which combine with the medium beach sand and maintain a steep beach fronted by a shallow attached bar (Fig. 4.376), with a rip flowing out against the northern rocks. It can be accessed from both sides, with a car park and picnic area on the slopes above the southern end.
