Four beaches (NSW 549-552) are located along the 1 km long western shore of the bay. Nuns beach (NSW 549) is located is a gap in the bluffs, immediately west of Jimmies Island beach. It receives waves averaging about 1 m which maintain a low gradient 100 m wide bar, and by a permanent rip against the western rocks. It can be accessed down the slopes from the point or with difficulty around the rocks from Rosedale.
