Beach NSW 580 is located about 200 m south of the Coila bar, and consists of a 40 m long pocket of sand bordered and backed by a storm cobble beach and the granite rocks of the head. It is well exposed with the surf often continuing along the rocks from the main beach. The beach varies in size depending on wave conditions. It is backed by a road and a park and is a reasonable spot to sit at low tide and during lower waves. However, when waves exceed 1 m the surf becomes one big rip.
Beach Length: 0.04km
