The southern Caravan Park beach (NSW 584) begins at the rocky outcrop and swings back into the lake mouth to a second rocky outcrop 100 m to the southwest. This beach forms the northern shore of the lake mouth and its actual shape and length can vary considerably depending on the configuration of the lake mouth. It receives lower waves, but is fronted by the deep inlet tidal channel. It is backed by a beachfront caravan park.
