Pebbly Beach (NSW 181) is located in a narrow south-facing rocky gully 700 m west of Perpendicular Point. The 50 m long fine sand and cobble beach is wedged in the top of the gully, with large boulders bordering each side and lying off the beach. Waves are lowered to about 0.5 m and surge up the reflective beach face. It can be reached along a 1 km walking track from the Pilot Beach car park, with a steep walkway leading down to the beach.

Swimming

Three beaches offering the quiet waters of Pilot Beach, increasing rocks and some waves on Washhouse, and a dangerous rock-dominated Pebbly.

Surfing

During higher waves the north side of Point Perpendicular can provide a good wave.

Fishing

Estuary fishing off the Pilot Beach and entrance walls, with rock fishing off Washhouse and Pebbly.

General

Camden Haven Inlet was trained with entrance walls between 1901–1907. The walls stabilised the northern Grants Beach, as well as acting as trap to form the entrance Pilot Beach and act as a boundary for the rocky Washhouse Beach. Extending 1 km east of Washhouse beach is the elongate 30 m high Perpendicular Point. On the south side of the point the rock coast trends southeast for 1.5 km to 80 m high Camden Head, with the small pocket Pebbly Beach wedged in the rocks of the eastern side of the head.
